A good place to be.

There’s no wrong way to spend a day out here.

Some people start with a flight and wander through the orchard before settling in. Others come hungry, order something for the table, and stay for another round. Some bring their kids, their fur kids, or their friends. And some come for a quiet hour to themselves and end up staying much longer.

TAPROOM HOURS

The patio is open, the taps are pouring, and there’s usually room for one more.

Friday: 4–9pm
Saturday: 12–9pm
Sunday: 12–6pm

Alongside cider, we’re serving a few simple things to eat.

WHAT’S HAPPENING

Somehow, no two weekends out here feel exactly alike.

Some nights are quieter. Some nights the patio fills up faster than expected. You might catch live music, a guest chef, a new release, or just a table full of good people staying longer than they planned.

TAKE SOME HOME

If you’re making the drive, it’s worth bringing a few bottles back with you.

The shop is stocked with seasonal releases, taproom favourites, and the bottles we’re most excited to be pouring right now.

What people say after the drive home.

“A great experience, overlooking the beautiful Manitoba field's of Canola!”

Howard

“Matthew was a great host from beginning to end. Our tour was thorough, informative and fun - and the cider tastings and snack spread were amazing. Will definitely be back and highly recommend!”

Leah

“Definitely a great visit! A variety of wonderfully crafted tasty ciders! They make sure their process is sustainable. I felt I was somewhere in California. Have a chat with the owners and you’ll understand why.”

GATHERINGS

Some of our best nights start with a full table.

Over the years, this space has held wedding dinners, birthday celebrations, team nights, cider tastings, and the kind of evenings people still talk about long after the last glass is empty.

If you're planning something worth bringing people together for, we'd love to be part of it.

GETTING HERE

Part of what makes Dead Horse feel like Dead Horse is that you don’t just stumble into it. You make the drive, leave the highway behind, and follow the gravel road until the prairie opens up and the cidery comes into view.

We’re just north of Winkler, and a little easier to find than people think.

FROM WINKLER

Head North from the intersection of Highway 14 and 15th Street in Winkler. Continue 2.5 miles North. Turn West (left) at the Dead Horse Cider sign right before the Dead Horse Creek bridge.

Continue along the lane until you’ve reached the Cidery.‍ ‍
