Love & Layers: A curated epicurean experience with Chef Kevin Funk

Delve into a captivating 4-course farm-to-table feast, thoughtfully curated by Chef Kevin Funk and our dedicated team, including Cidermaker and Sommelier Matthew Zacharias.

Begin with a warm loaf of bread and butter, a cherished favourite from The Olive Tree, Kevin's previous establishment. Enjoy dishes like "The Garden" a mix of edible dirt, vibrant fresh vegetables, and house ranch; followed by a flavourful tableside soup featuring Manitoba quail. Delight in smoked sous vide pork tenderloin paired with apple chutney, and finish on a sweet note with chocolate cake finished with strawberry and mint. Throughout the evening, complement your meal with our curated selection of 14oz ciders, enhancing each dish's rich flavours.

Celebrate love in all its forms—from partnerships and friendships to a deep passion for food and drink!

Meet the chef

Chef Kevin Funk, sharpened by the kitchen wisdom imparted from his late grandmother, has carved a distinct mark on Manitoba's culinary map. With nods from provincial awards and memorable tenures like the Olive Tree Restaurant in 2015, Kev's dedication to his craft is evident with every move.

Today, Kevin answers his culinary calling with intimate pop-up dinners and tailored private events. Beyond the sizzle of the skillet, there's Hidden Haven Homestead. A place where Kevin and his family not only live off the land but learn from it, documenting their journey every step of the way!

  • 4-course farm-to-table experience
